The capital of the state of Sabah located on the island of Borneo, this Malaysian city is a growing resort destination due to its proximity to tropical islands, lush rainforests and Mount Kinabalu. Generally referred to as KK, it is located on the west coast of Sabah within the West Coast Division. KK is the largest city in the state in Sabah and is the main gateway into the island of Borneo. KK lies by the coast overlooking South China Sea on a narrow flatland and occasional hills bordered by Crocker Range which hosts Mount Kinabalu. The urban sprawl is concentrated along the coast towards the north and south of the city. Kota Kinabalu is a fast growing tourism destination.
Day 01: KUALA LUMPUR - KOTA KINABALU AIRPORT – CITY TOUR
You will meet upon arrival at the airport and process for City Tour of Nature Resort City of Kota Kinabalu, the state Capital of Sabah –“The Land Below the Wind”. Formerly known as Jesselton, and now better known as KK, Kota Kinabalu is fast becoming a major city with excellent infrastructure and amenities. Highlights of this city tour include view of the Menara Tun Mustapha – a unique 32 storey building with no pillars, one of the few hanging structure in the world, the State Mosque ( closed on Friday ), the Chinese Buddhist Temple where a huge statue of Kuan Yin standing tall, the goddess of mercy welcomes and bless to all who visit the temple and shopping at KK Handicrafts Centre (Filipino Market ), Frozen Seafood Market and Coffee Hill & Cocoa Boutique ( a shop where you will find many types of chocolate flavor ). Overnight at preferred hotel.
Day 02: KINABALU PARK – PORING HOT SPRING
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for an easy 1 ½ hours overland journey to Kinabalu Park – Malaysia’s 1st World Heritage site which designated by UNESCO in December 2000. Kinabalu Park gazetted in 1964 with an area of 754sq km is dub as botanical paradise. Home to half of the world flowering plants species it is also fame for the Majestic Mt. Kinabalu (4,095m) – Highest Mountain in South East Asia. On arrival at the park, visit to the Exhibition Centre or just step into Wonderland by following any of the numerous trail around park. Then we proceed about 40km east of Kinabalu Park HQ lies Poring Hot Spring, a natural wonder where hot sulphur spring bubbles out of the earth and a canopy walkway (41m) span for 157m from tree to tree, a rare opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. A must visit is the Treetop Canopy Walkway and take a dip in the open air Japanese styled bathtub which the hot sulphuric water is believed to have curative powers.Return to Kota Kinabalu enroute Kundasang Vegetable market. Overnight at Preferred Hotel.
Day 03: MANUKAN ISLAND & SAPI ISLAND
Breakfast at hotel. Then we precede for just 15 minutes away by boat from Kota Kinabalu town to explore and enjoy the beach for the day ~ Manukan Island & Sapi Island. Here you will be at leisure for the rest of the day either relaxing and tanning on tropical white sandy beaches or swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear water of the South China Sea. You may enjoy the others Water Sports by own expenses such as Water-ski, Jet Ski, Wind Surf, Para-Sail etc. Afternoon, transfer to Sapi Island where sumptunous BBQ Lunch await you. Depart from island and return to mainland at evening. Overnight at Preferred Hotel.
Day 04: KOTA KINABALU AIRPORT - KUALA LUMPUR
Breakfast at hotel. Your memorable tour concludes today with a departure transfer to airport for your home flight.
